It Ain’t Wrong to Promote Your Church (for more people & partners)

Free jewel: Don't underestimate how often you need to promote your church

One of the biggest mistakes I see urban planters making is being too cool to promote their church.

The idea that you will somehow grow a church by preaching dope sermons and street cred? Bruh! You trippin’!

Based on my experience, you should be spending between 10% and 20% of your time promoting your ministry in a way that presents an opportunity and calls for a response.

That opportunity should be to partner with you, either through a visit or supporting the mission through giving.

There is a stark difference between days when I present and promote an opportunity and when I don't:

I get more podcast listeners, book purchases, speaking opportunities, and ministry partners.

A 5x to 10x difference.

But beyond the clicks and donations, here’s the bigger picture: you're slowly bringing people closer to real-life transformations.

Just recently, I got a text from an old friend that reminded me of this truth.

They’ve been thinking about partnering with the Dope Daily Audio Bible for about a year. It wasn’t a new pitch that made them move… it was just a reminder.

They needed to hear from me again.

How many partners are out there waiting to support or visit your church?
